Steps of preparing ketchup sauce with tomato paste

Step 1: Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and add half a cup of water.
Step 2: Boil your mixture over medium heat and stir constantly.
Step 3: When your mixture boils, turn down the heat and let it cook for 15 minutes, stirring every few minutes, and do not let your mixture stick around or on the bottom of the pan or burn. Add water to your mix if necessary and if your sauce thickens too much.
Step 4: If after 15 minutes your sauce is thin, put the heat under the pan between medium and high and stir constantly to evaporate excess water. To check the concentration of the sauce, place a wooden spoon on the bottom of the dish. If the empty space is filled after a few seconds (not filled immediately), the concentration of the sauce is appropriate.
Step 5: Turn off the gas and let the sauce cool for 5 minutes. Then transfer it to a glass container. You can keep the resulting ketchup in the refrigerator for up to a month.
