Recipe to make Tomato Chips

Tomato chips are one of the delicacies that are prepared, especially in winter. In the past, when tomatoes were not found in all seasons like now, in the tomato season, they were dried in the sun to enjoy a variety of stews, broths and other delicious foods in other seasons.

But now that tomatoes are available almost always and everywhere, there is no reason to deprive ourselves of the pleasure of eating dried tomatoes. Even if the yard, terrace, sunshine, and fresh air are scarce in your area, there is still a way to make delicious tomato chips.

Set the oven temperature to 90 degrees Celsius (approximately 200 degrees Fahrenheit) and allow the oven to heat up thoroughly.

In the meantime, divide the tomatoes in half, separate all the seeds, and then place the tomato halves on the baking tray. Pour a little sea salt on it.

Place the tray in the oven for between 1  and 2 hours. During this time, visit the tomatoes from time to time and move them slightly if necessary.

Once the tomatoes are thoroughly dry, remove them from the oven.

Pour the olive oil gently and carefully over the dried tomatoes so that they cover the entire surface.

Place the tomato slices together on an oven tray, and be careful not to stack them.

Go back to the oven and preheat it to 90 degrees Celsius. In the meantime, pour the remaining ingredients into a bowl and mix well.

Place some of the ingredients on each of the tomato slices and then place the tray in the oven. Depending on how thin your tomato pieces are, re-drying may take between 30 and 60 minutes. During this time, head to the oven every 15 minutes and sometimes put a fingernail on them to make sure the tomato chips are ready.
